Din Gadžo

Din Gadžo is a Serbian entrepreneur and real estate investor from Belgrade and the founder of BORDO Apartmani. Rather than an agency or middleman, he personally runs four private apartments in Novi Beograd, with a perfect 5.0 rating on Airbnb. His focus is raising the standard of short-term rental in Serbia: ownership over arbitrage, thoughtful design, and guest experience ahead of mere accommodation.

My story

I had a good job, an apartment, a car and a weekend house.
I sold it all.

How one decision — and the colour of the walls in a Novi Beograd flat — became BORDO.

Where I start
Novi Beograd — my neighbourhood
Born and raised right here. I started my first ventures as a kid. Today I’m giving something back to the neighbourhood I grew up in — my apartments.
Germany
A school of systems
I left after school, for work. Even as “just a worker”, I learned the most valuable thing there: how a business is run through systems and processes — not improvisation. I brought that back to Belgrade.
The decision
All-in, no plan B
I sold my apartment, my car and my weekend house and went all-in, in cash. I had a good job — I didn’t have to. Most people thought I was wrong. I stayed calm.

“I wasn’t gambling — I was building. Stocks may be the better ROI, but I wanted something tangible.”

BORDO
A name off the wall
I looked for a name by one rule: five letters, easy to read for a foreigner and a local alike. One day I looked at the colour of my walls — and BORDO was born.
Today
The model works
Four private apartments, a 5.0 rating, guests who come back. My biggest lesson came from perfectionism — I spent days on details a guest never even notices.

“The apartment isn’t the product. The experience is.”

What’s next
More, with no compromise on standard
I’m growing the number of apartments without a single compromise on quality — building the portfolio step by step, from my own earnings. The goal: raise the standard of rental in Serbia.

Philosophy

The experience is the productAn apartment is not the product — the experience is. Privacy, atmosphere and memorable moments ahead of mere accommodation.
Ownership, not arbitrageI build the portfolio through ownership and renovation, not by re-listing other people’s flats. Long-term, accountable for every detail.
The missing standardThe goal is to raise the standard of short- and long-term rental in Serbia — professional hosting, thoughtful design and systems, not improvisation.

Why BORDO — experience and trust
